2026 Summer Internship

We are excited to offer a paid summer internship opportunity at BBA Water Consultants, Inc. (BBA), a leading water resources engineering firm based in Englewood, CO. BBA provides water resources consulting services to a wide variety of clients, including municipalities, water conservation groups, agricultural water users, ski resorts, and residential communities. This internship offers a motivated student the chance to gain hands-on experience while working alongside a dynamic team of engineers, geologists, and hydrologists on impactful water resources and water rights projects.

KEY DETAILS

Location: Englewood, CO
(hybrid schedule with approximately four days in office per week)
Duration: Flexible start and end dates, with a minimum 8-week commitment
Compensation: From $22-$30 per hour, depending on qualifications

PREREQUISITES

Completion of at least three years of undergraduate education
Completion of one or more introductory courses in the following topics:

Water resources engineering
Hydrogeology
Geology
Water Rights

INTERNSHIP FOCUS

As an intern at BBA, you will develop a solid understanding of water rights and water resources management in Colorado. Opportunities available to the intern may include:

Developing location maps and interpreting geologic mapping
Analyzing datasets using Excel, Access, and online databases
Measuring streamflow, measuring well water levels, and assisting with pond surveys
Supporting test or production well drilling operations
Assisting with augmentation plan and substitute water supply plan operations
Investigating climate trends, snowpack levels, water levels, and streamflow conditions
Assisting with aquifer and river modeling
